National Environmental Strategy and Action Plan 2016-2023
The Goal:
Cambodia’s “National Environmental Strategy and Action Plan 2016-2023 (NESAP)” aims to create sustainable management of the current waste. This plan hopes to provide a timeline to completing Cambodia’s Sustainable Development Goals. It specifically outlines major policies that need to be enforced in order to upgrade the current government, including objectives that layout the need for raised awareness, resource efficiency, financing and governance. . This plan includes the 263 million US dollars of current and pipeline projects.

Issues with Solution Attempt:
This plan outlines principles that need to occur in the long term. This plan does not deal with current situations that need immediate attention throughout members of the community. There is a direct issue of the current disposal methods of plastic. Due to the current recycling methods and disposal systems there is lessened community participation. Citizens do not feel inclined to correctly dispose of their plastic bottles.
